Made-for-Adsense websites make Internet more unreliable

Have you ever made a website just for AdSense sake? A site, which is rich with keyword but no real content? I’ve made such a website using free software, HyperVRE from Matt Callen. This software, which come with free templates, will aggregate articles from internet for your chosen keyword. Besides, it also collects the rss feeds, which are related to your keyword. As a result, you will get a website which is full with the keyword and with AdSense (You will be asked for your AdSense code during the wizard). And the site is seemed to be updated frequently because it display different RSS feeds after you refresh the page.

In case you want to take a look at my made-for-AdSense website, this is the link:Music – Refreshing your Life.

Such a website is very good for search engine and AdSense, but as a human, the site sucks and does not give information that we searched for. Yes, you can make lots of money if you have lots of such site and get good traffic, but the sites are just craps, which make internet become more unreliable.

What are stop words?

What are stop words? If you are used to search engine optimization, you will come across this term. Stop words are the words which are being ignored by search engines, in order to speed up searches and to save space.

How stop words help to save space?

Consider this sentence:

The way to the school is long and hard when walking in the rain.

The appears three times. To save space, a search engine might replace it with what’s called a marker. The sentence would be stored like this:

* way to * school is long and hard when walking in * rain.

This explanation is simplified, but the point is that using markers can save a lot of disk space. The sentence retains most of its relevancy, and the extra space can be used to store more web pages.

Explanation from Danny Sullivan

How can stop words speed searches?

Some search engines store every word on a web page but they don’t search for certain ones to save time. Consider a search for:

the piano player

The search engine has to make three runs to find matches (again, this is oversimplified).

First it looks for all matches of the, then all matches of piano, then all matches of player.

Chances are, just looking for the last two words is enough to find relevant pages. So to save time, the search engine excludes searching for a select number of small words. It won’t “stop” to look for them.
Explanation from Danny Sullivan

Search engines also ignore stop words in meta tags and title tags and domain names. Therefore, don’t put stop words on your meta and title tags because it will waste your bandwidth (but the effect is almost cannot be seen). Besides, the domains such as therealestate.com and arealestate.com will have the same effect because the stop words are there.

The power of creativity – make money without ads.

easy money, bag of moneyIf you are thinking that online money is all about advertising, you are a little bit wrong. Normally, webmasters try to earn money by putting ads on their websites such as Google AdSense, Chitika e-MiniMalls, Amazon, etc. If you are a creative thinker and can think out of the box, you actually can earn more without putting a single ad on your website. To give you a brief idea, you can visit these websites:

The Million Dollar Homepage
500words
50pageswebsite

Simply put, visitors come to those sites and buy a spot (or more from the sites). This so-called internet phenomenon was created by an ordinary 21 year-old college student. Alex Tew started his Million Dollar Homepage on Friday 26th August 2005. By selling 1,000,000 pixels for $1 each he aimed to make a million dollars to pay for his university fees. And his idea was a great success. Since then, many similar sites grow like mushrooms after rain. But the fact is, copycats will never beat the original one. Some of the unsuccessful sites are:

Million Pixel Page – Free links
The Million Pixel Homepage

Learning from the success of Million Dollar Homepage and the failure of the copycats, a few sites took the concept one stage further and they have come with words-selling. Instead of pixels, words are more search engine friendly. Sites such as 500Words sold words which could be made to stand out by applying different colors and sizes. At first I think that it is a brilliant idea. But after a few weeks, I am sick with the clones. They come with 500topblogs, Top500WomenLinks etc. Most of the sites are using the Linksizzler script, which you can buy at Linksizzler.com for $897.00. Why can’t they all come with new ideas? Didn’t they know that copycats are hard to succeed?

Not long after 500words, I’ve came across another improved concept. Thank God that creative people still exist in this world. Inspired by MillionDollarHomepage and 500Words, 50pageswebsite is made. According to the owner, there are some flaws in the previous concept. When the visitors to the site (MillionDolarHomepage and 500words) become lesser, your link value will be diminished. As a matter of fact, search engines do not like a page with too many links.

This website will list 500 websites with their title, description and URL in 50 different pages. That means there will be 10 websites listed per page. So if you purchase a link on the front page (page 1 results) it will cost you $50 per link. However if you proceed to page two it will cost you $49 per link. It goes on like that until you reach page 50 which will cost you $1 per link. (Both first and last pages are sold out). The description on every link makes the link more human and search engine friendly. It will give you an idea what you can expect to see if you click that link.

As a conclusion, to be a successful person, you must be a creator. If you don’t have the great ability to be a creator, then become an innovator. Think about the successful concepts around you and try to find out what the concepts lacks of.
