How to make your affiliate links more user-friendly
The most effective way to refer your visitor to your affiliate product is by reviewing your personal experience with that product. It is no point to review something you haven't used before. In your review, you will absolutely put your affiliate link so that you can have commission if your reader buy that product.
What I don't like with affiliate link is, it is very long and it shows my referrer ID. I dont want that because it gives the impression to the readers that I am just trying to earn some money and the review just to lure you to buy the product.
And my solution is to change the URL to a friendly one. Below are some methods that you can use.
TinyURL (not so friendly)
With this free service, you can turn the long URL into short URL such as http://tinyurl.com/2b5mau. But the letters and numbers have no meaning.
Simple PHP redirect (more friendly)
Make a PHP file. Make sure that the file will give the users a little idea, where will it take the users to. For example, if you make a link to your Webhosting affiliate, you can name the PHP file like "recommended-webhosting.php".
After that, paste the code below in your PHP files. Replace the http://www.new-url.com with your affiliate link. Upload the files to your root server. After that you can point to the file http://yourblog.com/recommended-webhosting.php in your review post. Is it simple?

I survived hurricane Kyrill
Germans were told to stay indoors and many schools across the country closed early on Thursday as a rare hurricane bore down on them, seriously disrupting air and rail travel and causing at least one death on the roads.
The storm could generate winds of up to 180 km/h (112 mph) in high and exposed areas and as much as 130 km/h in lower-lying regions. I was not aware of the danger of the hurricane, and took a walk around the city because the wind was very strong and I like the feeling of walking with the help of wind.
Luckily, nothing had happened to me. If I'm not mistaken, 10 peoples were killed by this hurricane. Hundreds of flights and trains were canceled, leaving tens of thousands of passengers stranded at the country's major airports and railway stations.
Here a some photos of what has happened in Germany.

Currently I'm not in blogging mode because my exams begin next week. Maybe this blog will not be updated for the next three weeks. However, I’ll probably post something short if I could find the time during this period. Wish me luck for my exams.
iPhone FAQs and iPhone’s missing features

Everyone is talking about the brand new product from apple, iPhone, which is a combination of camera phone, PDA, multimedia player, and wireless communication device. The other breaking news of this iPhone is Cisco has announced they are suing Apple over the infringement of the trademark iPhone. Maybe this is just a marketing strategy from apple. Who knows.
If you have questions like What network can I hook the iPhone up to? or How long until other networks get the iPhone?, you should visit iPhone FAQ by Adrian Kingsley-Hughes.
And in conjunction with the same topic, Jason D. O'Grady has listed out the missing features of iPhone from his point of view. To my surprise, iPhone does not have front facing camera, which is very important for video conversation. By the way, iPhone does not support 3G. Yes, it is just a step backwards from apple.
The most obvious flaw is iPhone cannot be sync without wire. iPhone can only be synced with a cable and can't be synced via WiFi or Bluetooth. Nah, apple just takes the second steps backwards. For me personally, it is a great development of technology and the design of product from apple is at its finest. But they (iPod, iPhone) are too pricey to me.
