LiewCF.com is a Tech Blog in Malaysian style (he said that). Yes, I know that. He also claimed himself as the Malaysia’s first successful full-time blogger and I agree with him. Why, because he could earn $31,086.60 per month.

51811 peoples have subscribed to his blog feed. Yes, 51811 is a great numbers. Let’s have some calculation here. If LiewCF making one post a day, 51811 readers are ready to read his post no matter whether his post is not indexed by any search engine. In each post, LiewCF loves to put two AdSense units and blend them with the content very nicely. I’m pretty sure that he also monetizes his website feed with Feedburner Advertising Network, because ads are his main source of income :) . LiewCF.com feed readersIf all visitors click on the Google AdSense once, and assuming that each click gives $0.02 to LiewCF, he can get $1036.22 for each post. For worst case scenario, only 1% from the readers clicks on the ads. Then each of his post has the value of $10.36.

If LiewCF makes one post per day, he could earn up to $31,086.60 per month or even more because traffics from search engine are not included in this calculation. This value corresponds to RM118,129.08. This is the power of feed readers. Traffics from search engines are very good but you can’t control Google or its ever-shifting SERPs. This is different from feed subscribers. As long as you treat them right, and provide good and reliable content, they will be with you.

To get more blog subscribers, Copyblogger has four very simple steps here.

Update: The big number of subscribers is due to Feedburner problem. Haha. As I thought. LiewCF on this issue.

It’s a technical glitch which has been corrected. Nobody gets 50K subscribers overnight :)

In a somewhat related issue, I’ve compiled a list of the 50 most popular Blogines feeds.

51,000 feed readers, yeah rite. Somebody screwed up the stats. even the most pro of pro bloggers don’t get that kind of stats, let alone a writer who can’t string together a single line of english without breaking two simple gramatical rules together.

p.s/ there was (and still is) a massive internet spike by yahoo’s spiders since yesterday. It is most probably the cause of the 5100% increase. RM30,000, quit dreaming la.

Maybe on the time you check his blog, the feedburner service suffered some problem. That why display 50k.

As far as I know, LiewCF blog subscriber doesnt even reach 2k before, how to reach 50k in a few days I didnt visit his blog?

I guess that tech blog have more subscribers huh..? (except boingboing) a nice post by the way.

  7. korokmu says:

I think the number of subscribers is based on the content of the blog. Analogically said, you will never subscribe to a lousy magazine if the content is not good, or it is about something you don’t like.

Liewcf.com talks about Malaysia latest tech news such as broadband service which every netsurfer’s interest to know which one is compatible, cheap, good service and so on,this is Malaysian style,he find a niche market, thats why he got so many readers subscribers,if we put for eg:JOHN CHOW dot Com,it might be so successfull, because Malaysian’s mindset about internet business is not up to that standard yet,i guess…
