Google is planning a new version of its search engine – designed for TV screens – that the company’s co-founder and its chief executive believe will rival traditional broadcasting.
Yes, and they are one step ahead by the introduction of click-to-play video ads. Google video ads first appear on Web pages as static screenshots in small television-screen like boxes. Only when you click on the screen, the ad begins running inside the box, giving you control over how much or how little you want to view. Besides, the targeting is more powerful than traditional broadcast TV. In other words, this will be a big threat to traditional broadcasters.
